Welcome to the Swinburne University Drinking Club, or SwinDrinkClub/SDC for short. Here at the SDC we aim to promote responsible drinking while enjoying all the fine beverages and venues in the Hawthorn vicinity.

Another aim of ours is to bring students together and encourage them to form new friendships with others regardless of who they are. The desirable outcome of this is to have a whole entire network of students who know each other and be able to say “hi“ to each other on the street. The events we hold are pivotal in achieving this and hopefully each of our members will look back on their time with us and remember having a blast.

The SDC are also keen on encouraging members to experiment. There are many different beverages on offer and some are easier to get than others but through the use of proposed wine/beer tasting nights members can broaden their horizons.

Alas, Swinburne is surrounded by many great places to have a drink. However, contrary to popular belief, drinking is an ancient art which many cultures have tried to perfect.
